I'll be honest, I am not looking forward to the day when my kids no longer need a stroller at Disney. Having a stroller has been amazing! Yes, it's a necessity for those little legs that will need a break a half hour into your park day, but it's also a lifesaver for my back. We toss everything into the stroller. From sweatshirts for cooler evenings, to water bottles, a small cooler and ponchos, our stroller carries it all. Here are some of my stroller must haves that helps us stay organized while in the parks.
Petunia Pickle Bottom Stroller Hook: This Mickey shaped stroller hook is perfect for a Disney trip. It is big and can carry a good amount.
Side Sling Cargo Net: We have two of these slings, one for each side of the stroller and one for each kid. This is where we keep anything they might need to easily access - their water bottles, sunscreen, closed snack container, hand wipes, etc. That way, they know what is theirs and can access it without constantly asking for help.
Portable Misting Fan: We love a good misting fan on those hot and humid Florida afternoons. Sometimes, a fan just doesn't cut it, but add the misting element with some cold water and it's a perfect way to cool down. I love that the handle on this fan folds up so it doesn't take up much space.
Sunscreen Applicator: Whoever invented this is a genius! My kids apply sunscreen on themselves (I'll help them with their face) and they actually look forward to doing it. Each child has their own and it stays in their side sling for easy access to reapply throughout the day.
Wet/Dry Bag: We have several of these bags and use them a lot! They are great to take to the pool, especially on check in day if you want to drop off luggage and head straight to the pool. We also use it as a bathroom bag for the kids. When they were younger, instead of taking a big diaper bag into the bathroom, we would keep a pack of wipes, a couple of diapers and a foldable table mat, along with a change of clothes, in this bag to just grab and go. We still use it on road trips as a just in case bag.
Travel umbrella: I carry a small bag with me so I can carry the kids epi pens while we're on rides, along with a small water bottle and this travel umbrella. It's just a necessity in Florida.
Ponchos: Along the same lines, we keep these disposable ponchos everywhere, including in the stroller. Just pay attention to the size. I accidentally put a kids size in my purse and when there was a pop up shower, while I had a poncho, it only helped on half my body!
These are definitely just for one time use each. If you know you'll be visiting areas prone to pop up showers often, I suggest purchasing something more durable.
Stroller Cover: Keep this on your stroller and cover your stroller before you walk away. It might be bright, sunny skies when you get on the line ride, but the one time you forget to put the stroller cover on, will be the time there is a pop up thunderstorm that soaks your stroller. Trust me, buy the stroller cover and use it.
Brita Stainless Steel Filtering Water Bottle: For me, this is a necessity when visiting Florida, not just a stroller necessity. I personally don't love the taste of Florida water, but with this filtering water bottle, the water tastes great! Each family member has one. It's a perfect size, keeps water cold, and has a handle so you can hang it from the hook listed above.
Apple AirTag: Even in the most magical place on Earth, it's better to be safe than sorry.
HELPFUL TIP: Keep in mind that you and your stroller will go through security before entering the parks. Keep things like the water bottles and umbrella easily visible so security can see it in case the alarm goes off.
